The story follows a young boy who didn't get a cake for his birthday (Parker Jones), so he decided to move out. The reason he didn't get his cake was from a big screw up from his dad (Riley Rutter), who is alone as a father (or so he thinks). Then the young boy is seeking for a new dad with his willing camera-man. He soon meets a dad who is all but normal. He wears a cowboy bandana and a cowboy hat. Oh, we forgot to mention he had short-term memory loss. But the young boy soon finds out that it was a bad choice to have the cowboy-guy adopt him.
“The Retirement” also is filmed by Jake Jones, another member of Starlight Pictures, and Riley Rutter also plays the cowboy-dad that Carl (Parker Jones) finds.
The film is directed by both Riley Rutter and Parker Jones.

Parker Jones, Riley Rutter, and Jake Jones are the only people who worked on the short film. This is a short film, before we release Blackmail.
